![]() ![]() I love shader, but we want to start publishing these for the least common denominator hardware, so these could be used on a Raspberry Pi setup etc. It’s configured to match the screen bezel I’ll be using going forward as well. I’ve also got a venom-guest-crt shader configuration file with the parameters I’m using for my own setup in case anyone wants to use it. SNES Mini Borders adapted for use in RetroArch. use the video settings above depending on which aspect ratio you want to use. ![]() ![]() The integer scale files are ripped directly from the SNES Mini with no modifications. I’ll also be including config files for the Retroarch versions with preset screen coordinates. Integer Scale - Use these when applying an overlay to an integer scaled image. You can see the beta version of it at: .įor the time being, for my own files, I’ve set up a new structure on my dropbox that is cleaner and hopefully simpler to navigate. Soon these files will be available for download on a new web site we are putting together that will have a lot of features for navigating all the available overlays. Over time, I’ll go back over the existing overlays and create MAME lay versions for them as well. Hopefully this will help anyone who is looking for a collection of overlays (like I am!) who might want to either manually integrate them or use a utility to automate the process.I’ve renamed this thread as we’ve got a group of us ( and myself) working closely together as a team on these overlays and it will simplify things if we can reduce our posts to a single location.Īdditionally, we will be posting both standard MAME and Retroarch copies for the overlays going forward, starting with Karnov. That said, I'm loving the look of the custom ones from orionsangel below. I'll probably use it to see how best to start applying the bezels - the easiest option looks to be the Bezel Project which is bundled with RetroPie. After you posted it on the subreddit, I modified it slightly to remove the trademarked Sony logos and added a menu button (EDIT: and, to be clear, I put the sanitized version in the set of overlays that are included with RetroArch, so you can get it from the online updater) Thanks And (i wast sure) but thought. Secret of Mana I loved staring at the box and cart art when I was a kid. Otherwise set the video scaling manually to fit your device display. You can found MAME Artworks (Arcade or other) here or here. RETROARCH VIDEO DRIVER: Use Vulkan or any Open GL driver (Direct X drivers are buggy with animated overlays) VIDEO SCALING: Set the screen scaling to 4:3 in a 16.9 display to get a fullscreen perfect overlay fit. Here I am not talking about the work done by the artists, they are all awsome. So to try and review the options I made this shortlist. I’ve been working on a few border-overlays (bezels) and thought I would share them with the community All overlays are intended for a 16:9 format using the core provided system aspect ratio. If its not already done, for some games, I convert 'retroarch overlays format' in MAME Artworks format'. Now open the config folder and in it create some new folders (as many as you have overlays). It looks like there are a few projects out there, and certainly lots and lots of contributions of new bezels/overlays. Now edit the file retroarch.cfg in the root folder and set. I used to use a basic tool I wrote a few years ago 'rp-video-manager' but I'm thinking there are probably better ways to do it now, plus a lot more bezels available out there. I was just looking to start a more comprehensive way to apply a lot more bezels/overlays to the games I have and was wondering what sort of options there are. ![]()
